We’re thrilled to share that Little Minds Learning Academy will soon be welcoming a very special addition to our school family — Meet Joy, our future certified therapy dog!

Joy is currently receiving 12–15 months of rigorous and specialized training, where she’ll be learning how to support children emotionally, socially, and even academically. Once her training is complete, she’ll return home to join our team as a calm, friendly, and comforting presence in the classroom. Our goal is to ensure that Joy becomes a trusted companion and a valuable part of our learning environment.

When she officially joins us, Joy will help students by:

• Providing emotional comfort and a sense of safety during the school day
• Encouraging engagement in reading and learning
• Supporting emotional regulation, empathy, and confidence
• Strengthening our sense of community and care

We truly believe that Joy will be an incredible asset not only to our students but to our entire community. It is our hope and plan to use her to help more than just our students by working alongside other community-based organizations. Her future presence reflects our belief that it is impossible to educate a child unless you nurture the WHOLE child—mind, body, and HEART.
